Non-intrusive program
BrowseReporter is very small program that runs in the background as a Service. It quietly records every site that has been accessed without the users knowledge!
However, If you wish to notify your users that their systems are being monitored, then BR offers the option to inform the user. The following customizable message can be presented at startup of the system.
Web browsing data stored centrally
Data from each client PC is stored centrally on the administrator’s system. On a daily basis, the data is scheduled to be uploaded from the client PC to the central database. The latest data can also be requested on an ad-hoc basis.

Bandwidth Monitoring New!
Bandwidth monitoring has become an integral aspect of network management. Isolating abusive users who upload or download large files can significantly decrease network congestion.

Through BrowseReporter’s bandwidth monitoring utility, you can track the traffic on a i) per User or ii) per computer basis.  Monitor both the download and upload bandwidth consumption.  The bandwidth report, identifies offensive Users or computers with excessive traffic activity.
Remote Screen Capture New!
Track employee/student activity, by capturing screenshots of their PCs on regular intervals.  Identify users who are spending excessive amounts of company/school time on unauthorized sites, chats, games etc.  Screenshots of their activities can be saved for future reference.
Schedule URL Tracking New!
Collecting URL information at all times can often be a pointless exercise. For example, managers, may only be interested to track browsing activity during business hours only.

Through the URL Tracking Scheduler, you can schedule the time ranges when the Internet activity should be collected. Browsing activity outside of these schedules will not be collected. This also helps to maintain the database size.

Email Reports New!
Through the Email Reports feature, the BrowseReporter reports can automatically be generated and emailed to the manger/administrator. This eliminates having to rely on the manual process of creating reports.

Simply create the profiles of the specific reports. Then create the schedules. At the scheduled date/time, the reports of the most current data will be generated and emailed.

Export URLs to BrowseControl New!
The BrowseReporter reports provided detailed information of URLs activity, time of visiting these sites and the duration of these visits.

Once the offensive sites have been identified, organizations may need to take action on this activity. One common course of action is to take this list and export it to the blocked list of your Internet blocking software, eg BrowseControl.

Alternatively, these reports are also beneficial in identifying sites that are relevant to your business. In this case, the URLs can be exported to the Allowed List of your Internet blocking tool.

The URLs can be exported directly to the BrowseControl software. This list is exported to the “URL Filter List” of BrowseControl. In addition, the URLs can also be exported to a txt file.
